When should we arrive if we are flying in?
You could arrive anytime you would like; San Antonio has a lot of fun things to do and is one of the top tourist cities in the country. Wedding festivities start as early as Thursday night for anyone that is welcomed, but most important to be at the wedding on Saturday! ceremony starts at 5:30.
Where are the most convenient places to stay?
There are a lot of great accommodations to stay at in San Antonio. Whether you stay downtown or Northside San Antonio where the wedding venue is, you will be just within a handful of miles of the wedding festivities
What will the weather be like?
While we wish we could be in total control of the weather, we hope for a beautiful sunny, but not TOO hot day for the Wedding Day and weekend! We centered the date of the wedding to be that time of May considering that around that time, it is past rainy season here in San Antonio and just entering nice and 80s season!
What is the Dress Code?
For the festivities leading up to the big day, anything you'd like! Dress comfortable and casual. For the big day, we'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up! Of course, no sneakers, no jeans, no hats, no jerseys. Dress to impress in your best formal cocktail attire! Bright Spring-time colors are encouraged!
Are there any colors that i should avoid?
To accentuate the vibrant and bright colors of the wedding, here is a list of colors that are recommended to avoid; Black, Dark Browns (Nude and tan is acceptable), Navy Blue and of course white (and any colors close to it).
Can I bring a guest/date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!
Are kids allowed?
Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!
What do I do if I can't make it?
You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
Where do I park?
Our venue has free on-site parking! However, we do strongly encourage guests to uber/lyft from the hotels.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We are having an unplugged ceremony! This means that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer and videographer to be able to capture the best pictures and videos which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you would like and don't forget to share them with us!
Will there be an open bar?
This is a Mexican/Puerto Rican wedding....OF COURSE! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you! For this reason, we encourage you to uber/lyft to and from the venue. Please make sure you have a way to get back home or to the hotel safely!
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will both be outdoors under some very appreciated shade. the reception will be indoor in an air conditioned rustic barn.
